The Nasdaq-100 tracks 100 of the largest non-financial companies listed on the Nasdaq Stock Market, including companies based outside the United States. It uses a modified market-capitalization weighting that caps the weight of the largest constituents.
Nasdaq launched the index on January 31, 1985. Its constituents are reviewed every December and its weights are rebalanced quarterly. Its level reflects price changes only: dividends are not reinvested.
