Steve Reinharz explains why RAD raised hardware prices and why he would consider a little less volume for stronger economics. Recording from a RAD R&D location, he also discusses new hardware in early testing, SARA, and a seven-system university order.
AITX’s RAD announced a measured update to hardware pricing, effective September 22, 2026, reflecting higher material, electronic component, freight, manufacturing, regulatory compliance, and other input costs across the physical security technology sector. Channel partner pricing for ROSA and AVA increased by approximately 6%, while higher adjustments apply to the steel-intensive RIO solar security platform family. ROAMEO pricing remains unchanged.
AITX’s RAD has received a third order from a recently signed national dealer, bringing the relationship to four RAD solutions in seven weeks. Two RIO Minis and one AVA are intended to support safety and security operations for a major construction equipment company in North Carolina.
Steve Reinharz recaps RAD’s GSX 2026 activities, the start of two Immix pilots, nine new standalone ROSA orders and the Company’s position on responsible license plate recognition technology.
RAD has received an order for seven RIO 360 solar-powered security systems, representing 14 ROSA units, for a major public research university serving more than 25,000 students. The university indicated that the initial order could be the first of several supporting its intended campus deployment.
RAD has received orders for nine standalone ROSA units, each licensed with SARA, spanning a first order from a longstanding national automotive customer and an expansion order from an early construction customer. The activity reinforces ROSA’s role as the commercial foundation of RAD’s stationary security platform.
AITX’s RAD is drawing a clear line between purpose-driven physical security and persistent public surveillance as scrutiny grows around networked camera and license plate recognition systems. As the security industry gathers at GSX 2026, RAD is calling for Physical AI Security with defined boundaries, focused on detecting, assessing and responding where protection is needed
RAD’s ROSA and RIO platforms are now live on Immix following successful UAT, giving central stations, integrators and enterprise users a streamlined path to add AI-driven detection, automation and active response within established monitoring workflows. Major U.S. guarding and monitoring companies are already engaged.
AITX CEO Steve Reinharz addresses why the Company is developing multiple Physical AI Security solutions at once, explaining how ROSA, RIO, ROAMEO, AVA and an expanding software layer fit into one broader strategy. He also discusses recent developments with Circadian Risk and Immix and why AITX believes moving quickly across these opportunities matters now.
RAD and Circadian Risk have launched SARA Assess, SARA’s first commercial integration with a third-party physical risk intelligence platform and one of AITX’s 15 active roadmap initiatives. Available now, it verifies connected security controls, updates facility risk scores and initiates corrective action.
