LOS ANGELES, July 30, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Hanmi Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: HAFC, or the “Company”), the parent company of Hanmi Bank (the “Bank”), today announced the closing of a $55.0 million private placement of fixed-to-floating rate subordinated notes. The Company plans to use the net proceeds to redeem its outstanding $110.0 million of callable subordinated notes and for general corporate purposes. The notes have a maturity date of July 31, 2036, and carry a fixed rate of interest of 6.50% for the first five years. Thereafter, the notes will pay interest at a floating rate, reset quarterly, equal to the then current three-month Secured Overnight Financing Rate (“SOFR”) plus 234 basis points. Net income for the second quarter of 2026 was $23.5 million, or $0.79 per diluted share, compared with $22.6 million, or $0.75 per diluted share for the first quarter of 2026. The return on average assets for the second quarter was 1.20% and the return on average equity was 11.09%, compared with a return on average assets of 1.18% and a return on average equity of 10.86% for the first quarter of 2026. Net income for the first quarter of 2026 was $22.6 million, or $0.75 per diluted share, compared with $21.2 million, or $0.70 per diluted share for the fourth quarter of 2025. The return on average assets for the first quarter was 1.18% and the return on average equity was 10.86%, compared with a return on average assets of 1.07% and a return on average equity of 10.14% for the fourth quarter of 2025.
