  • Polar Power Reports $7.9 Million in Pacific Islands Revenue as Repeat Orders Drive Expansion Across Off-Grid and Bad-Grid Power Markets
Aug 12, 2026Polar Power, Inc. (POLA) News

Proven telecom deployments across five markets are generating reorders and pulling Polar into adjacent applications the Company believes are larger than telecom GARDENA, Calif., Aug. 12, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Polar Power, Inc. (NASDAQ: POLA) (“Polar” or the “Company”), a manufacturer of DC power and solar-hybrid systems for both off-grid and bad-grid environments, today reported that it has generated approximately $7.9 million in revenue from the Pacific Islands since 2024, shipping 333 DC generators and solar-hybrid systems across Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Vanuatu, the Solomon Islands, and Guam. The Company also disclosed a current solar-hybrid backlog of approximately $670,000 in the Solomon Islands, following a recent repeat order from a regional telecommunications customer. The reorders are the clearest signal of Polar’s progress. Telecom operators generally place repeat orders only after a system has proven its reliability and operating-cost savings in the field. Polar’s expanding footprint reflects a repeatable business model — an initial field trial, followed by a successful deployment, followed by rising volume as operators standardize on Polar’s technology across their networks. “We’ve now shipped 333 systems and generated $7.9 million of revenue across five Pacific markets, and the reorders tell us the technology is proving itself where it matters most — in the field,” said Arthur D. Sams, President and Chief Executive Officer of Polar Power. “Each successful deployment becomes a reference for the next, and it is pulling us toward a much larger opportunity beyond telecom — in microgrids, water pumping, cooling, and EV charging.” Having completed the multi-year trial-to-volume adoption cycle with several Pacific Island carriers, Polar believes it is now entering the ramp phase of the region’s build-out, where reference installations convert into recurring, higher-volume orders. The Company views the Pacific Islands as one of the world’s most underserved markets for reliable, low-cost power — and, increasingly, as a proving ground for applications well beyond telecom. As carriers install Polar’s hybrid systems, the same reliable, low-cost power is drawing demand from adjacent local applications — microgrids, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), water pumping, air conditioning, and electric-vehicle charging. Polar believes the combined market for these applications is larger than telecommunications alone, and that its growing base of installed, field-proven systems positions the Company to capture it. Polar’s systems are engineered for the Pacific’s dispersed geography and harsh marine environments. The Company’s DC generators connect directly to battery storage, eliminating AC-to-DC conversion losses and reducing installed cost, while variable-speed engines and rare-earth permanent-magnet alternators cut fuel consumption — a decisive advantage where fuel must be transported to remote sites at high cost. About Polar Power, Inc. Polar Power, Inc. (NASDAQ: POLA) designs, manufactures and sells direct current, or DC, power systems for telecommunications, military, automotive, industrial and other applications. Polar Power’s systems provide reliable, low-cost prime and backup power for applications requiring high reliability and low maintenance. The Company has also expanded its product portfolio to include power and cooling systems for data centers, as well as charging systems for drones. • Polar Power Receives Additional Purchase Orders for its Solar Hybrid Power Systems Supporting Broadband Expansion in the Solomon Islands
Aug 11, 2026Polar Power, Inc. (POLA) News

Repeat orders build on successful 2024 deployments, expanding reliable off-grid power to 15 additional remote telecom sites. GARDENA, Calif., Aug. 11, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Polar Power, Inc. (NASDAQ: POLA) (“Polar” or the “Company”) announced today that it has received purchase orders from a telecommunications company in the Solomon Islands for the deployment of 15 additional Solar Hybrid Power Systems. The new orders were based on successful installations completed in 2024 and will support the continued expansion of broadband communications infrastructure across their island communities. Building acceptance of Polar’s Solar Hybrid Power technologies in the region we believe can lead to significant sales growth. Polar has also sold its DC generators as a standalone product to Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu, Guam, and Indonesia, but its future growth and profitability lie in supplying complete Solar Hybrid Systems. The Solomon Islands’ dispersed geography and challenging tropical marine environment present typical obstacles for reliable off-grid power for most rural areas in developing countries worldwide. Challenges include high fuel transportation costs, difficult maintenance logistics, and the need for uninterrupted service during severe weather events. Polar Power’s Solar Hybrid Power Systems are designed to address these challenges by combining solar photovoltaic (PV) generation, battery energy storage, and the company’s high-efficiency DC generator technology into an integrated weather-tight solution. Unlike conventional AC generators, Polar’s DC generators deliver power directly to battery energy storage systems, eliminating the need for AC-to-DC conversion equipment such as battery chargers and rectifiers. This approach improves overall system efficiency, reduces hardware requirements, lowers installation costs, and simplifies system design. Engineered for demanding operating conditions, Polar’s hybrid systems feature stainless steel hardware, powder-coated aluminum enclosures, and conformal-coated electronics for enhanced corrosion resistance and long-term durability. The systems also utilize variable-speed generators and permanent-magnet alternators with rare-earth magnets to maximize fuel efficiency while minimizing operating costs. Compared with traditional AC generator-based solutions, Polar’s DC-powered architecture can reduce overall system size and weight by up to 50%, making transportation and installation significantly easier in remote locations where access is often limited to small boats, pickup trucks, helicopters, or manual transport. Depending on site configuration, Polar’s Solar Hybrid Power Systems can reduce carbon emissions by approximately 40% to 90% through increased solar utilization and generator efficiencies. Historically, telecom operators have limited solar adoption at their sites because of the upfront capital cost and the additional space that conventional solar installations require. Polar’s hybrid architecture directly addresses these barriers: it requires less battery storage and eliminates the capital cost of battery chargers and rectifiers, along with their associated power conversion losses. These efficiencies lower both capital and operating costs, making renewable energy deployment more economically viable for remote telecommunications infrastructure. Reliable, cost-effective off-grid power is essential for supporting broadband connectivity, healthcare services, emergency communications, and broader economic development in rural communities. As telecommunications providers increasingly adopt hybrid renewable energy solutions, successful deployments can also serve as reference installations for similar applications worldwide. <p align="justify" style="padding-

  • Polar Power Inc. Receives Purchase Order for Mobile Electric Vehicle Fast Chargers to Address the Growing Need for Emergency Roadside Assistance
Nov 21, 2025Polar Power, Inc. (POLA) News

Gardena, CA, Nov. 21, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Polar Power Inc. (“Polar Power” or the “Company”) (NASDAQ: POLA) announced today that it has received an initial purchase order for fifty (50) next-generation model EVMC30K EV mobile chargers (“EVMC30K Chargers”), designed to provide emergency roadside fast-charging for electric vehicles (EVs) that have depleted their batteries charge before reaching a stationary charging station. Polar Power’s EVMC30K Chargers provide up to 30 kW of level 3 fast charging power (using CCS and Tesla charging standards), enabling stranded EV drivers to resume their journey without the delays and expense of towing. They operate independent of the grid using a propane fueled Toyota prime power engine driving a high efficiency Polar DC alternator for a direct generator to EV charging. Polar Power’s DC generator technology is known for its compact, lightweight, and low cost performance. The EVMC30K Chargers are also available in natural gas and diesel fuel options. The EVMC30K Chargers deliver a 15 to 30-minute charge, sufficient to reach the nearest charging station—similar to providing a can of gasoline to a stranded motorist. Automotive dealerships have problems with EVs that have lost their charge during transportation from the factory or from being stored onsite for weeks. Polar Power’s EVMC30K Chargers provide the solution. Car rental agencies typically do not have access to level 2 or 3 chargers on their property. Using EVMC30K fast charging can provide quick turnaround for new clients, improving asset utilization. Polar’s mobile charging technology is expected to address critical pain points for: EV owners facing range anxiety and battery drain; Automakers and dealers managing electric vehicles during shipping and storage; Fleet operators requiring on-site charging for service and maintenance; and Car rental agencies recharging EVs for the next renter. “There is a substantial market need for mobile EV charging solutions,” said Arthur Sams, CEO of Polar Power. “As an EV owner for 9 years, I understand the challenges of range anxiety and phantom discharge. Our technology provides a practical and efficient alternative to towing, giving EV owners peace of mind and enabling fleets, dealerships, and manufacturers the ability to manage charging needs during transport and storage, and rescue their stranded drivers.” “There are two other mobile EV fast charging solutions. The first one incorporates a large AC generator powering an AC to DC power supply that connects to the EV. However, transporting the “mobile” charger to site requires a large size truck or tractor-trailer. The second technology uses a large battery powering a DC to DC power supply that connects to the EV, and this approach is expensive and still has the problem of locating a site to recharge the charger. Polar Power’s mobile charging system provides a powerful solution: their compact DC-based system can be installed on a small pickup truck or hand pushcart.” “With EV adoption accelerating into trucks and buses, Polar Power sees a significant opportunity to supply mobile EV chargers nationwide for both residential and commercial applications. Polar Power’s customer for these 50 units is currently in business selling level 1 and 2 mobile EV chargers. We are currently in negotiation for a 2 year distribution agreement for sales and service of our mobile chargers. This is expected to augment Polar Power’s limited sales presence in the niche mar
