  • The Trade Desk Expands Healthcare Measurement and Optimization Integrations for Pharma Advertisers
Sep 15, 2026The Trade Desk, Inc. Press Releases

Expanded integrations with Veeva Crossix and IQVIA Digital bring more granular healthcare insights closer to media decisioning NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Trade Desk, a leading global advertising technology company, today announced expanded integrations with healthcare analytics and measurement providers Veeva Crossix and IQVIA Digital. The enhancements give pharma advertisers more granular insights into campaign performance and new ways to apply those insights to media optimization and decisioning.Pharma analytics has traditionally focused on evaluating campaign effectiveness and identifying optimization opportunities outside the platform environment. The Trade Desk is helping shrink the gap between insight and action by bringing more healthcare data, greater choice and more granular measurement and optimization closer to media decisioning, giving advertisers the ability to apply learnings and make optimizations while campaigns are still running.Instead of relying on a single campaign-level result, advertisers can gain a more detailed view of which parts are performing better and shift bidding and optimization decisions to maximize outcomes. For example, a pharma marketer could evaluate audience quality by site, geography or device type, connect media exposure to outcomes such as new-to-brand prescriptions, and automatically shift spend to maximize the impact of each media dollar.“Pharma marketers need more signal closer to their platform decisioning, and they need the flexibility to define what success looks like for their business,” said Elizabeth Keenan, GM, Client Services, The Trade Desk. “By giving advertisers greater choice in the data, measurement partners and outcomes they use, we’re helping them invest with more confidence and make every media decision work harder.”Crossix is making in-platform optimization with frequent updates against advertiser KPIs, accelerating the loop between campaign execution and optimization. Crossix is also expanding the optimization KPIs advertisers can incorporate into media decisioning. Advertisers can currently optimize in-platform toward Audience Quality (AQ) and cost per target reach, with Gross NBRx optimization metrics coming in Q4. A new weighted KPI capability, also expected in Q4, will allow advertisers to combine Crossix AQ and Gross Conversion data to optimize toward the mix of outcomes most relevant to their campaign objectives.“Pharma marketers want automated solutions to maximize the impact of their campaigns – a tighter loop between their media investments and real-world health outcomes enables that at scale,” said Dan Stein, SVP, Crossix Analytics Partnerships. “Making Crossix optimization analytics available within The Trade Desk bidding algorithms helps advertisers use the signals that matter most to their business to better inform campaign optimization.”IQVIA Digital is helping make the view of performance more granular. Advertisers can currently optimize in-platform toward AQ and cost per target reach. Enhancements coming in Q4 will add AQ measurement by site, geography and device type, as well as new-to-brand prescription (NBRx) measurement. These insights can help advertisers identify where they are reaching the most relevant audiences and make more precise optimization decisions.“Healthcare marketers increasingly need measurement that goes beyond determining whether a campaign worked to explain what is driving performance,” said Justin Rosen, Head of Measurement Product, IQVIA Digital. “Bringing more granular IQVIA Digital measurement into The Trade Desk can give advertisers a clearer view of campaign performance and help them translate those insights into more informed media decisions.”The Trade Desk also supports multi-provider HCP d

  • The Trade Desk Introduces Kokai Zuma, the Latest Release of Kokai
Aug 27, 2026The Trade Desk, Inc. Press Releases

New release brings agentic AI, simplified measurement and a more intuitive user experience to The Trade Desk's Kokai platform Users will be able to prioritize campaign outcomes and move faster by automating campaign changes VENTURA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Trade Desk, a leading global advertising technology company, today introduced Kokai Zuma, the new release of its Kokai platform. Introduced in 2023, Kokai is The Trade Desk’s platform for planning, buying and measuring advertising across the open internet. The Zuma release makes Kokai easier to navigate, learn and use, bringing together new agentic AI capabilities and a simpler measurement framework. As advertising becomes increasingly fragmented across channels, formats and devices, media buyers face more complexity in managing campaigns and understanding what drives performance. Zuma is designed to remove that friction, helping traders find what they need faster, make changes with greater confidence, and spend less time managing workflows so they can focus on optimizing campaigns and driving better results. Additionally, the update builds on the AI forecasting engine that has been at the heart of Kokai. While the redesigned interface is the most visible change, the larger resource investment has gone into upgrading the platform's forecasting engine and the AI infrastructure underneath the platform – predicting available inventory, modeling campaign outcomes and powering Koa's agentic capabilities in real time. Initial results of Zuma’s improved modeling and forecasting capabilities have seen an average 32% improvement in CPA performance. These backend investments are what make the workflow – and campaign – improvements possible, and they mark a strategic shift in how The Trade Desk is investing in the platform going forward, making it foundational to everything clients see within their experience.“Kokai changed the way digital media is bought and sold programmatically, and Zuma builds on that foundation, making our platform faster, simpler and smarter,” said Jeff Green, founder and CEO, The Trade Desk. “AI is helping our customers move faster than ever, while making measurement more intuitive and actionable. We’ve listened closely to our users about what they need to navigate an increasingly fragmented digital media ecosystem, and Zuma brings those learnings into Kokai. We’re continuing to build the platform that advertisers deserve – one that removes friction from the work, puts agentic AI to practical use and gives them a clearer view of the outcomes their media dollars are driving.”Agentic AI Powered by KoaKoa is the artificial intelligence that powers The Trade Desk, helping advertisers make smarter decisions and improve campaign performance through real-time analysis of more than 20 million ad impressions every second. Introduced in 2018, Koa has continuously evolved as The Trade Desk has expanded the use of AI across its platform. Today, Koa powers a growing set of agentic capabilities within Kokai, including a new conversational experience and specialized Koa Agents that help users automate tasks, uncover opportunities, and take action faster.Koa Assistant: A conversational AI assistant powered by a growing set of specialized Koa Agents that support campaign creation, audience building, troubleshooting, performance analysis, and more.Audience Creation: Koa identifies previously untapped and highly relevant audiences to expand camp
